Easter Gospel Outreaches are Reaching Impoverished Families & Transforming Communities!

After 45 years, Mission to Children Easter and Christmas gospel outreaches continue to enable front-line Christians to share God’s word with a celebration meal to impoverished families in distressed communities.

So far this year, partners like you have fully funded outreaches in:

  • Western Romania reaching homeless families
  • Uganda through an AIDS treatment center reaching children and youth
  • India reaching Dalit (lower caste) children and families.

Isaiah 55:11 promises that God’s word will not return void. This promise in Scripture gives us confidence and joy as we collaboratively plan, prepare, and implement these semi-annual outreaches. The results are up to God—and the results are to His glory.

Because of your Prayer and support of Easter Gospel Outreaches…

  • 1,500 Dalit children, women and men were reached in various slums and villages throughout South India
  • 570 leper children and their parents were reached
  • 250 children and women were fed through Easter gospel outreaches in areas heavily affected by prostitution. Mission to Children has helped gospel workers provide educational assistance and the word of God to these women and children in spite of local opposition.
  • 4,100 people in Odisha state whose lives were devastated by the Fani cyclone were reached and received an Easter meal.
  • 187 gospel workers and their families were brought together to celebrate Easter and worship God. This celebration was followed by a prayer walk.

Testimonies…

From a gospel worker in one tribal area:

“Children are malnourished and have lots of health issues due to poverty and the uncertainty of work! Our field partner’s network has been involved in the community for many years, helping them meet basic needs. Over the years, several hundreds of them made the decision to follow Jesus as their Lord and Savior. As a result, several hundreds of house churches were started. We are witnessing Acts 29! Now the communities in these regions are witnessing community!”

Raamratan, a woman living in a spiritually oppressed community of South India that’s plagued by prostitution shares:

“We are living in hell, without hope! We are forced into child marriage and prostitution. Our girls are trafficked into major cities; many of our women are victims of HIV+ AIDS and have died! Now we have New Hope through Christ, His Resurrection is exciting for me! I will share this story with other girls in my community!”

This community at large heard the simple Gospel message, the story of Christ dying for their sins, so they needn’t sacrifice any animals or do any evil rituals to appease their goddess! From the book of Hebrews 11:31 “By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies, was not killed with those who were disobedient”

Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Romans 6:8-9
