Ministry Opportunity: Malawi, Africa

Earlier this year I asked a few people to pray with me about a ministry opportunity that God appeared to be developing in Malawi, Africa. Praise God, He has begun answering our prayers. God has used me to connect a dear brother in Malawi with ThirdMill, a ministry committed to providing seminary-level training for pastors in developing countries.

This is significant to me for two reasons. First of all, this Malawian brother has carried out gospel outreaches with us in the past. He is committed to ministering to children who live in poverty. And secondly, he has a deep concern for churches across Malawi to stay committed to the truth of the Bible. These values matter to me, and I believe they matter to you. We want every child who attends a gospel outreach to have the opportunity to be connected with a Bible-teaching church afterward. But we share these values also knowing that good international partnerships take time and prayer to develop. Even so, God willing, I believe we could see something very special develop through Mission to Children in Malawi.

The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” Proverbs 16:19

I’m excited about what God is bringing into focus for Mission to Children in several African countries. But in no way does it diminish our ongoing work in India.  This summer we are following up Easter gospel outreaches with a VBS outreach for children in Karnataka, India.

Lastly, I praise God for the final draft of the Thankfulness Guide. The Guide is intended to help equip ministry leaders to recognize God’s faithfulness in the Bible and in their own lives so that they may build resilience during difficult times. My first goal is to share the Guide with 5 ministry leaders and get their feedback. I’m praying that God connects me with children’s ministry leaders who work in developing countries and can immediately benefit from this guide.

Before the summer months arrive, will you please help us meet our June 30th goal of $20,000?

Your gift at fiscal year-end helps us:

  • Support VBS outreaches in India this summer as a follow-up to Easter outreaches (Goal of 2,500 children at about $5/child)

  • Cover production costs for the upcoming Thankfulness Guide while we seek peer review from other ministries (costs vary)

  • Help front-line Christians prepare for gospel outreaches in various African countries later in 2022 (initial budget of $5,000 at $2-5/child)

For God’s glory,
