When we first met Likitha, she had no hope. Not only had she lost both her parents, but her community shunned her. As an outcast Dalit—the lowest of the low in India’s caste system—she was ostracized and abandoned.
But today, Likitha’s eyes sparkle as she tells how her life has been transformed!
Taken in by Mission to Children partners at Grace Evangel Orphanage, Likitha found herself valued and treasured as never before, as she learned of Jesus’ love—in word and in action.
Most recently, Likitha’s been richly blessed in one very special way—thanks to your support.
Ever since she was very young, Likitha’s been fascinated by airplanes… but never dreamt she would ever fly in one. Imagine her sheer delight when Jacob (Director of Grace Evangel Orphanage) recently surprised Likitha with a plane ticket (about 10 dollars)!
On Likitha’s big day, she and two of her friends were given a warm welcome by ground staff and the flight crew—and once on board the plane, the girls even received a personal greeting from the pilot!
Others became aware of this special flight. Their hearts opened up to make Likitha’s day even more special. Uber provide complimentary shuttling, and the Hyderabad Radisson Hotel hosted the small group at no cost in their amazing restaurant.

Walner and Yanira are new friends of Mission to Children. We asked them to tell us why the ministry is so close to their hearts.
“The future of humanity will soon lay in the hands of today’s children,” says Walner. “Which is why we must care for them now!
“God wants the best for the children of the world, and we can be the extension of His love and mercy to them. It is through human hands that God performs miracles. And so we believe God wants to use you and me to serve and care for hurting children!
“The kids that are cared for by Mission to Children are victims of this broken world. They are so vulnerable and cannot overcome the challenges they face alone. Our hearts break for them … And we believe God calls us to give them a chance to fulfill their potential—which can truly be achieved when they know Christ in their hearts.
