Christmas and Easter Outreaches

Reaching Out Through Food, Fellowship, and the Gospel

For as little as $3.50 a child, you can reach out and touch the lives of thousands of children such as Sattibabu and his sister with the Gospel, food, and fellowship.

“But You, O God, do see trouble and grief; You consider it to take it in hand. The victim commits himself to You; You are the helper of the fatherless” (Psalm 10:14)

Each Spring and Winter the Mission to Children and our international partners prepare a special celebration to demonstrate God’s love to children whose lives are difficult. Hunger gnaws at them . . . fear haunts them . . . life seems hopeless. God’s arm is not shortened. But is ours? Are we willing to be the “hands and feet” of Jesus reaching out to provide for abandoned children?

Your donation will provide each child not only physical food—but an opportunity to know Jesus—determining where he or she spends eternity. These ministry outreaches become an evangelistic bridge to otherwise forgotten communities around the world. Motivated by God’s love for children, we plan several months ahead for these two annual celebrations.

During these events children are fed, and the Gospel message is creatively presented through music, singing, drama, Bible lessons, and character training. Children and other needy people from their communities may receive small gifts such as school supplies, hygiene products, Gospel literature, candy, or an item of clothing.

After an event, local ministry leaders follow up with new believers to encourage their spiritual development. By God’s grace, thousands of children and adults have surrendered their hearts and lives to their Savior.

Annual Christmas and Easter outreaches involve dedicated ministry partners in about 10 different countries.

Changed Lives

A Brother and Sister Find Hope—in Jesus

Sattibabu and his younger sister lived on the street. To assuage their hunger they ate food from the garbage bin by the side of the road. They turned to begging, hoping someone would give them a few rupees, but no one cared enough to even stop. Their clothes were torn and their stomachs always empty. Sattibabu asked for jobs from shopkeepers but the new government rules gave strict orders not to employ children. They endured violent behavior from men they hoped would help them.

Sattibabu often thought about his mother who used to tell him moral stories before she died. But he gradually forgot her words. After her death she had left the children in the care of her husband, a violent drunkard whose behavior and new wife drove them to the streets.

Then, a miracle: A distant uncle happened to see the two at risk children sitting alongside the road and was shocked to see their condition. This man knew about one of the Mission to Children supported orphanages in southern India and secretly brought these two destitute children to this Home. There they were shown love, fed and clothed, met new friends, and became part of a “family.” Best of all, at the orphanage they discovered a personal relationship with the Shepherd Who died for them—Jesus Christ.

The story doesn’t end there: their lives were transformed, and they are now growing in the Lord.

We provide ministry opportunities to help neglected children like Sattibabu and his sister. You can be the link that touches the lives of thousands of children with the Gospel, food, and fellowship. Learn more by watching the video (below) posted after an Easter outreach at India.
