Monday, January 28, 2008

The Kajiado Crippled Children's Home hosts 78 residence children, additionally serving up to 180 handicapped people at various times throughout the year. Please pray for the Kajiado Crippled Children's Home. Mission To Children has steadily supported this therapy and educational program for years. They now face uncertainty due to the instability of Kenya. Our contact, Daniel Sapayia, reported that his daily errands are disturbing as he sees the violence all around him. The Kajiado Crippled Children's Home hosts 78 residence children, additionally serving up to 180 handicapped people at various times throughout the year.

Daniel wrote, "Well, I seem to be giving a different story every other day regarding the situation in Kenya, it is so un predictable. I had planned to rush to Baringo this week, on Saturday things changed and for the worse. Nakuru is a no go zone as well as Naivasha and it looks like is spreading to Marigat area. It is so sad seeing people being removed from vehicles and bitten to death and vehicles torched.

"It is only the mighty hand of the Lord to save this country and the people. In the country there are some international mediators led by the former UN secretary general Kofi Annan who are trying to reconcile the warring parties and we just hope for the best for our country. Please keep praying especially for our children who are up at Baringo and are waiting for us to serve them, I miss them so much. Pray that peace to continue in Kajiado and in all other areas that are not affected so far."
