Leper Ministry

Lepers in India continue to be at-risk communities in need of your support. Ostracized from society and often unable to work, these people are victims of a disease that changes their lives permanently. What can we do to help them?

$30 gives an Indian Leper a bundle of love which may contain a Bible portion, blankets, medical supplies, clothing, or special footwear, bedding, and food.Mission To Children has launched many successful projects that continue to meet the needs of leper communities in India on a regular basis. For example, various leper communities gathered together for a monthly meal. In honor of the lepers, this meal is comparable to what would be served at a wedding ceremony in India. The quality of such a ministry motivated by the love of Jesus Christ brings honor to people who are otherwise ignored! The needs of leper patients stir our compassion.

We are privileged to help the leper communities by providing homes, churches and meals for these "outcasts" of society in India. Not all lepers, though, are adults. Many children live in these leper communities and are even more vulnerable to the disease than their elders. Other ongoing ministries for lepers include: distribution of shoes, clothes, and the construction of community centers for teaching, food distribution, and evangelism. Mission To Children is excited to see the Kingdom of God spread among these leper communities.
