Coatesville, PAJune 2009On June 3, Character Solutions was warmly received by 30 teachers, administrators, and camp personnel from a local Bible camp ministry. Our main contact in Coatesville is a chaplain for several of the correctional facilities in the area. He is very interested in bringing character training and Christian values to the prisoners he serves. He also sees a critical need to encourage the families of the prisoners through godly character training. The Principal is a dynamic Christian woman who was very pleased to have us teach character principles to her teachers. She views her job in this inner-city school as a ministry opportunity. Normally, we are allowed to present the Gospel as an optional seminar, but the principal had pressure from the superintendant not to include that this time. Even though the team was eager to share about Jesus, we were encouraged that the school district is discussing further training of other educators. In time, we hope to build relational bridges through testimony that the Gospel can travel over. Similarly, we were excited that the camp personnel plan to teach inner-city kids about godly character during the summer of 2009. |
