Combined Federal Campaign # 11922

Mission To Children #11922 is an approved charity of the 2008 Combined Federal Campaign.First of all, a big "thank you" to every workplace donor and volunteer. Your donations via payroll deduction to Mission To Children make a significant contribution to our program: cultivating Christlike character in children—especially those at risk; and caring for at-risk kids internationally by providing food, shelter, training, and Bible teaching.

The Combined Federal Campaign provides an opportunity for federal, civilian, and military employees of the United States of America to designate a portion of their paycheck to Mission To Children through payroll deduction. It is the largest workplace campaign in the world. Mission To Children continues to find favor as one of your favorite charities. If you pledged, we'd like to know about it and thank you.

Mission To Children is a current member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability. It will take as much as four to eight months for Mission To Children to receive the list of donors, so please be patient in our response to your contribution.

How did my CFC contributions help during fiscal year 2008?

How Will My Gift Help?

Your donation to Mission To Children through the Combined Federal Campaign will effectively help a variety of projects such as:

  • $2.50 provides character training and materials to one pastoral, social service, or civil service leader in India.
  • $20 pays for 4 Bibles that will be delivered to children in closed countries who are seeking Jesus.
  • $50 supplies 100 meals for impoverished Haitian children.
  • $30 provides an Indian leper with a blanket, Bible, food, and protective shoes.
  • $35 pays for a malaria shot which a character trainer needs before traveling to Africa.
  • $100 helps pay for the production cost of one character book in any language.
  • $300 pays a significant part of the character materials used by teachers, parents, and leaders in distressed communities.
  • $1,000 makes a great contribution toward providing MTC's character program and materials to an inner city school in America.
  • $2,000 makes a great contribution toward providing MTC's character program and materials in a major city of India.
What is the Overhead Percentage?

Using the latest 990, Mission To Children spent 2.5% on fundraising. Have you ever wondered if low overhead equals efficiency? If you would like third party input on this issue, Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability published on its website several helpful resources including: "How Much for Fund-Raising? Myths About Ministry Efficiency."

Video - Character Training Touching Lives

A great example of character training intesecting ongoing Mission To Children ministries is the Beulah Home, a safe place for at-risk children located in India. MTC’s relationship with Beulah Home goes back more than 15 years. When the Beulah director saw MTC’s Character Solutions materials he immediately initiated training for all staff and the older youth so they could train the younger children. Now the children can recite from memory the Bible stories and many verses associated with the character qualities that are such an important part of their spiritual formation of Christlikeness. A “ripple effect” is happening as the children share these concepts with their friends and relatives.

CSI is also being welcomed as a key to reaching across religious walls to those who are not yet followers of Jesus Christ. Various leaders in India report, “Who does not want character for their children? CSI opens conversations in a way that shows respect, reduces hostility, and builds good relationships.”
